andings are starting to take shape as we approach the quarter mark of the season. Historically, most teams that sit in playoff positions at American Thanksgiving are still there at the end of the season. Yet there are most often a few surprises mixed in. This week, we’ll look for one team in each division that appears most likely to break into the playoff picture over the rest of the season, along with one team that looks most likely to fall out.

2021-2022 Regular Season Update: Oct 27

After last night’s games, 30 of the league’s 32 teams have played at least five games. While it’s still too early to get a good sense of which early season performances are sustainable over the long haul, we’re starting to get a better picture of how the 2021-2022 standings may look.

ith the free agent frenzy in the rear view mirror, I’m looking through each team’s moves  and analyzing their roster as it sits now.  This post will focus on the Eastern Conference teams. 

Offseason Update: June 23-29

With still over three weeks to go until the expansion draft, it was a fairly quiet week for offseason moves in the NHL. We saw a few RFAs re-sign in depth roles over the week and two pending UFAs came off the board on Tuesday, re-signing with their respective teams. Let’s take a look at the most notable moves from the past week.
