The Jeff Petry Trade Web: Part 7 – The Complete Trade Web
It’s time. The Jeff Petry Trade Web is massive. I’ve shared parts of it over the past few weeks but the reality is, there’s a lot left and I can’t possibly summarize all the connected storylines succinctly in a series of posts. Hopefully, the previous posts in the series have given an idea of the type of storylines that can be followed within the trade web. Now, it’s time to put it all out there and let you find the storylines that interest you. We’re about to stomp on the accelerator and power through the complete trade web. Let’s go.
The Jeff Petry Trade Web: Part 6 – Taylor Hall Thread
Today, we’ll look at another complete thread in the Jeff Petry Trade Web by following the Taylor Hall for Adam Larsson trade thread through to it’s current state.
The Jeff Petry Trade Web: Part 5 – The Curtis Glencross Thread
In Parts 1-4 of the Jeff Petry Trade Web series, we’ve been following the entire NHL chronologically as numerous origin threads appear independently. In Part 4, we saw a number of threads tie together. For Part 5, we’re going to change our approach as the threads start to branch off again and focus on a complete look at individual threads.
The Jeff Petry Trade Web: Part 4 – Senators Start a Teardown
The 2018 offseason saw some big name defensemen on the move and some star power added to the trade web as a result. There were also a few draft day trades that connect some of the threads from previous chapters.
The Jeff Petry Trade Web: Part 3 – Three Way Trades
The 2017-2018 season saw more big names find new homes via the trade market with some ties into the Jeff Petry trade web. In Part 3, we’ll look at the 2017-2018 season.
The Jeff Petry Trade Web: Part 2 – Shock Waves
On June 29, 2016, the NHL landscape was shaped by three massive transactions over the span of 23 minutes. The last of those transactions was Steven Stamkos deciding to stay in Tampa Bay and signing a long term extension. The first two were trades.
22/23 Mid-Season Power Rankings: #32-22 – Lusting for Lottery Luck
We’ve hit the mid point of the 2022/23 regular season. I thought it would be a good time to check in on how the NHL’s 32 teams stack up against one another based on their projected roster strengths.
Today we’ll start with the bottom third of the league, looking at teams ranked #32 through #22. Most of these teams are clearly in the tank mode looking to land a top pick in the 2023 draft but there are a few surprises…
Team Synopsis: Arizona Coyotes – November 28, 2022
I last checked in on the Arizona Coyotes in mid August, with most of the 2022 offseason in the rear view mirror. It looked like another long season was ahead in the desert as the Coyotes appeared intent on snagging a high draft pick in the loaded 2023 draft to help their rebuild. The first quarter of the season has gone almost too well for the Coyotes if the main objective this season is landing as a high in the 2023 draft as possible. Let’s take a closer look at their season to date.
Central Division Snapshot: November 27, 2022
Today we’re checking in on the Central Division. In our last Central Division Snapshot in late October, there were still plenty of early season trends playing out. With a quarter of the season now in the books, we have a better idea of which of those early trends will fade away and which may stick through the season.
