We’ve hit the mid point of the 2022/23 regular season. I thought it would be a good time to check in on how the NHL’s 32 teams stack up against one another based on their projected roster strengths.
Today we’ll start with the bottom third of the league, looking at teams ranked #32 through #22. Most of these teams are clearly in the tank mode looking to land a top pick in the 2023 draft but there are a few surprises…
Team Roadmap: New York Rangers – December 20, 2022
In yesterday’s post, I looked at the New York Rangers performance this season and their overall roster profile. Team Synopsis: New York Rangers – December 19, 2022
The New York Rangers got off to a good start this season but have now settled in with the group of teams that look likely to compete for a wildcard playoff berth. The New York Rangers went on a run to the Eastern Conference Final last season, a year after a controversial GM change altered the trajectory of the club. Was their 21/22 success a flash in the pan or should we expect the Rangers among the Eastern Conference’s top teams again in 22/23?
Metropolitan Division Snapshot: July 22, 2022
The dust has settled on this year’s free agent frenzy and we have a new picture of how the 22/23 season is shaping up. Let’s take a look at how the Metropolitan Division teams have fared since my last snapshot (after the draft) as attention shifts to the remaining RFAs.
